After conceding four sixes to Carlos Brathwaite in the WT20 final, the world came crashing down for England’s Ben Stokes. But since then, Stokes has redeemed himself in international cricket and in IPL auctions, he got the highest bidding. The Christchurch-born English cricketer is a great addition to the Rising Pune Supergiants, who had a dismal debut season.
Stokes has a poor T20 record but he belongs to the breed of players who can win matches on their own. With the bat, he is destructive, with ball he is very handy with his hostile pace and in the field he is an absolute ripper. Stokes is a complete T20 package and would have a great impact this season if he fulfills his potential.
