WWE EXTREME RULES 2013 – A Preview

The Miz vs Cody Rhodes (Pre-Show)

Now a days mostly the babyface comes out on top in the pre-shows. After a short pause, WWE continues its attempt to push The Miz as a face. Rhodes’ misery in 2013 is likely to be continued as Miz is expected to win this bout.

Chris Jericho vs Fandango

Chris Jericho has been in poor shape since his return last year. The feud between Jericho and Fandango has not done anything in favour of Jericho. So this match is expected to be a boring stock.

Randy Orton vs Big Show (Extreme Rules Match)

There are rumours that there will be a potential heel turn for Orton which makes Big Show the favorite. This is considered as  the least anticipated of all the matches at Extreme Rules. This match comes under Extreme Rules gimmick (Extreme Rules Match).

Sheamus vs Mark Henry (Strap Match)

Sheamus has been winless at the last six Pay Per Views. Henry picked up a big win against Ryback at WrestleMania. So this may be the right time for the Celtic Warrior Sheamus to beat the World’s Strongest Man when the both face off each other in a Strap match.

Alberto Del Rio vs Jack Swagger (‘I Quit’ Match)

This match was scheduled to take place for the World Heavyweight under the Triple Threat Ladder gimmick. After a concussion to the World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler, this match has been changed into a no.1 Contender’s match for the WHC. This bout comes under the I Quit Category.

Triple H vs Brock Lesnar (Steel Cage Match)

With Lesnar picking up the win at SummerSlam last year and Triple H leaving WrestleMania 29 victorious there is no clear favorite in the Clash of Legends. This match is scheduled to take place inside a Steel Cage.

Championship Matches scheduled for Extreme Rules 2013

Kofi Kingston vs Dean Ambrose

Ambrose appears to be the first singles star from The Shield as he had a face-off with both Undertaker and Kane. Ambrose is set to appear in his first PPV match sans Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Ambrose should be wary of the High-Flier from Ghana, Kofi Kingston. This match is for the United States Championship.

Team Hell No vs The Shield

One of the most exciting match in Extreme Rules 2013 is the Tag Team Tornado Match for the Tag Team Championship. The Shield hasn’t lost as a group since their first match at TLC. Daniel Bryan and Kane, who have held the belts for eight months is all set to concede the title to Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. The win could give The Shield possession of two different titles.

John Cena vs Ryback

WWE EXTREME RULES 2013
John Cena vs Ryback

John Cena vs Ryback in a Last Man Standing match!!! What else can we ask for a WWE Championship Bout? It sounded like Cena could be in for a long title reign when he beat The Rock at WrestleMania 29, but Ryback’s heel turn may have changed that. After losing in 6 straight PPV’s Ryback is in due for a Big Win. We can also expect The Shield to interfere in this Last Man Standing contest.
