Greatest Asian ODI XI of All Time

10. Waqar Younis (Pakistan)

Greatest Asian ODI XI of All TimeWaqar is the third Pakistani pacer to find a place in the list of greatest Asian ODI XI. Cricket fans and pundits still remember Waqar Younis very fondly for his reverse swing which when combined with his hostile pace was just unplayable and destined to smash the wood work. I don’t think there would be any better bowler to execute the deadly in-swinging Yorkers as well as this man did. One of the best exponents of reverse-swing bowling, Waqar always seemed to target either the base of the stump or the toes of the batsmen and boy he was a master in this art. Younis featured in 262 ODIs and took 416 wickets at an average of about 24 with as many as 13 fifers to his credit.
