Kerala Blasters beat Pune City 2-1 for first win in ISL.

After a comprehensive victory against FC Goa, FC Pune City were confident and were looking to put up another good performance in front of the home crowd. Kostas Katsouranis, who was the man of the match in the last game, expected to continue his fine form and to play a critical role against Kerala. Kerala definitely pressed hard for their first win in the tournament. It was a suspense match for viewers and supporters whether Kerala will get their first win or Pune will pack up the lead by winning 2nd game. Kerala’s hopes were resting on the shoulders of their key players like David James and Michael Chopra. After holding table toppers, Atletico de Kolkata, to a draw, the morale of Kerala Blasters FC players were high. In between the confidence of Pune players and cheering crowd, Kerala got their first win in ISL by defeating Pune by 2-1.

1st HALF-
First one for Pune. David Trezeguet strucked a beauty followed a good assistance by Goossens in the 16th minute which hosted Pune 1-0 lead with the confidence of winning the match but Kerala made it 1-1 as Sabeeth, assisted by Hengbart, converted the corner to level hosts in the 40th minute.

Iain Hume gave a brilliant pass to Penn Ikechukwu Orji who converted it smoothly to give visitors 2-1 lead in the 66th minute.
