8. Imran Tahir (South Africa)
Tahir blowed hot and cold throughout the Tournament but nevertheless still managed to be effective. The leggie spun the ball wonderfully and was instrumental in seeing off Zimbabwe’s threat in their opening match. Whenever he couldn’t pick up wickets, he made sure the opposition never ran away with the game by bowling miserly. At long last, South Africa seem to have found an excellent spin bowling prospect.
