1. AB de Villiers (South Africa):
Top 10 Best ODI Batsmen of 2015This question posed by Aakash Chopra is no joke, “I demand a DNA test of AB de Villiers, this game is only for humans.” 2015 was the year when the world witnessed the invincibles of Abraham Benjamin de Villiers. The ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year 2015, ABD bags the top honors in our list as well. This year was like a fairytale journey for the South African ODI skipper. From scoring the fastest 50, 100 and 150 in ODI cricket to leading his side to its first win in an ICC Knockout game to a heart-breaking loss in the World Cup Semi-final where the so-called Superman of the game was in tears, to again marshalling his troops to its first ever ODI series victory in India, de Villiers had seen it all in 2015. In 18 innings this year, Mr.360 degree blasted as many as 1,193 runs at a mind-wobbling average of 79 and destructive strike-rate of almost 138. Though he scored 5 hundreds this year but the ton against India on a turning Chennai track was one of the finest by any visiting batter in India. The 31-year old played significant knocks in World Cup while his contribution in series decider against New Zealand and India respectively also turned out to be a match winning one.
