8. Morne Morkel (South Africa)
The exclusion of Morne Morkel from South Africa’s World T20 squad came as a bolt from the blue for many as he had successfully lead the African pace attack in the absence of Dale Steyn. The lanky Proteas pacer is a wicket-taker in any format of the game and his pace and bounce makes him a tough proposition for the opponents. Morne had bowled exceptionally well against New Zealand in Semi-final match of the World Cup 2015 which testifies his nerves of steel in crunch games. South Africa has always lacked temperamentally strong players in those pressure-cooker matches of the big ICC events and leaving out a player like Morkel for this marquee tournament certainly raises many eyebrows.
