9. Arjuna Ranatunga (Sri Lanka) – 69.20
One major achievement of Arjuna Ranatunga was, he successfully led Sri Lanka to their maiden world cup triumph in 1996. But Arjuna Ranatunga had a much more deeper role to play as a batsman. He was entirely dominant during his playing days, both as a captain and as a batsman. He trusted his natural instincts and skills set he already possessed. He batted along with the tail enders and ended up as the finisher in most matches for Sri Lanka. He had the perfect rapport with the tail end batsmen and he co-ordinated with them to achieve stiff targets.
