4. AB DE VILLIERS (SOUTH AFRICA)
He is the Superman of cricket, the Proteas ODI Skipper is at the helm of Batsmanship in each and every format of the game. There is hardly anything this man cannot do on a cricket field. On back of some stupendously gigantic and memorable performances in the recently concluded World Cup, this man arrived at the IPL with a lot of hype. So far he has been hot and cold in the cash rich league so far. That’s the beauty of the man, even when he is not at his belligerent best, he is above many a players who seems to be at their best. His best innings of 133* of 59 deliveries came in a pressure match against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhade. It was truly a heck of a knock where he played like a ring-master of a circus against the likes of Malinga, Harbhajan ,and Mcclenaghan and it seemed as if he was not playing against them but rather toying with them at his will with ease. In this IPL, he has 446 runs to his tally at an average of 50. His astounding strike rate of almost 177 is the best among the batters who have scored in excess of 400 runs. He is ranked 4th in the list.
