1. Mitchell Johnson 103-9 vs England, Brisbane, 2013
The 2013 Ashes Series is remembered for Mitchell Johnson’s fiery thunderbolts. Australia regained the ashes series for the first time since 2006-07, winning all the 5 matches. England were in complete disarray in front of Johnson’s deadly bouncers. Such tremendous display of bowling was witnessed in the first test at Brisbane Cricket Ground, where Johnson shut selectors’ mouth, as there were questions being raised over his selection. There was hardly any spell where he lost control of his astonishing line and length. He consistently bowled short at around 145 KPH and gradually took 4 wickets in the first innings, followed by a 5 wicket haul in the second innings. Johnson’s humiliation antagonized English batsmen, therefore leading Australia to a well deserved.
