You aren’t considered a serious batsman until you prove yourself in foreign conditions that are alien, for most. And Rahul faced this challenge on his very first tour in down-under. The Indian opener even fared miserably in his debut match, but he bounced back strongly with a century in Sydney. From there on, he has amassed Test tons in Colombo and Kingston respectively. In-fact, all his international centuries have come outside India.
Lokesh didn’t get the privilege of starting out his career at home. Still, he has shown great maturity to adjust to the foreign conditions, that early in his career and with time, he will only get better. So, India has a very promising batter up their sleeve.
