5. Babar Azam (Pakistan) – 656 runs, Avg: 59.63, S/R – 95.21

Babar AzamThe Pakistani youngster; Babar Azam was the find of the year in One-day cricket. The 22-year-old started off the year on a bright note with scores of 62 and 83 in tough conditions of New Zealand. But after that, he was scoring those promising 20s and 30s and was unable to score big until the West Indies ODI series in UAE. Azam notched up three successive centuries and forced the world to take notice of him. His scores of 120, 123 and 117 runs were significant to Pakistan’s 3-0 win against West Indies.

After his prolific performances in shorter formats, he has been given chances in Test cricket as well and seems an exciting talent to watch out, in days to come.
