Since 2014, Faf du Plessis has been in smoking hot form in One-day Internationals. In last four calendar years (including this year), he has averaged 52.67, 58.93, 48.17 and 60.33 respectively. He had a rocking start to the year and had scores of 55*, 105, 24, 185 and 41 against Sri Lanka. It was at Cape Town where Faf scored his highest ODI score of 185.

The South African ODI skipper also had a great start to Champions Trophy in UK. But he failed to convert his starts into something substantial against Pakistan and India. Overall in 18 innings, Du Plessis has 905 runs at a strike-rate of 92.34.
