As far as your relationships with seniors are concerned, the world has witnessed how you honored Ganguly when you gave him the chance to captain in the final moments of his cricket career against Australia. Even in 2008/09 India v/s Australia series, although Kumble was the captain but he hardly played in the series but yet after the series win you dedicated the trophy to him which shows your respect towards seniors.

But still the haters and criticizers would always be there to bring you down but you are the man who inspired us to dream. You affirmed and instilled us with the power of self-belief with your fairy-tale rise in the international arena. Now, we believe in ourselves that even after our associations with a small city or various daunting adversities in life. We can overpower them with our self-belief like you did. Your journey from a ticket collector to one of the biggest icons of the gentlemen’s game is as exhilarating and inspiriting as anything can be in human life.

You are a champion and you will always be a champion irrespective of such defeats.
