7. India vs Pakistan, World Series, Sharjah 1985
In a high heated ground of Sharjah, India had to face Pakistan in the opening fixture of Rothman’s Four Nations Cup. Pakistan dismissed the Indian side for mere 125 runs, with Imraan Khan being the pick of the bowlers, adding 6 wickets to his account. However Kapil Dev and Mohammad Azharuddin settled the innings for a while, India could only manage to put 125 runs on the board. Pakistan started off well and were looking all set until Kapil Dev and Rogger Binni showcased a scintillating display of bowling. Spinners rubbed salt to the wounds by dismissing middle order batsmen in a flash. Pakistan were in complete disarray and eventually got bowled out on 87. India out of nowhere nailed a quite impossible and historic victory.
