Even though Flintoff is considered a legend by many, his numbers really don’t do justice to this claim. And that boils down to the fact that his 6 ft 4 inch frame required high maintenance, which he was not able to provide for. Since debuting in 1998-99, injuries kept hurting this guy. When he was relatively injury free, like in the period 2003 – 2005, he was a force to be reckoned even by the Jedi. Injuries finally had the last laugh as Flintoff prematurely retired from International Cricket at the age of 31 years.
