It’s really hard to imagine any list on wicket-keepers without the name of this magnificent and legendary Australian southpaw : Adam Craig Gilchrist. He was the symbol of vengeance and demolition among the opponent bowlers. With his swashbuckling repertoire of strokes and gnarly ability to clear the ropes on will, he has taken the fraternity of wicket-keepers to a sky-high level reputation all together. In 2002, he scored a sublime double ton against South Africa at Johannesburg. Back then, it was the fastest double century ever. In this outrageous knock of 204 he struck 19 fours and eight sixes. He was fierce and barbarous on the likes of Allan Donald , Andrew Nel ,Makhaya Ntini and Nicky Boje who took severe hammering. This ferocious wicket-keeper batter also holds the record for the record 100 sixes in Test Matches. He is ranked 6th on our list.
