What is FIFA Confederations Cup?

The FIFA Confederations Cup is an association football tournament for national teams, currently held every four years by FIFA. It is contested by eight teams. The participating countries are the holders of each of the six FIFA confederation championships- UEFA (Europe), CONMEBOL (South America), CONCACAF (North America, Central America and Caribbean nations), CAF (Africa), AFC ( Asia), OFC (Oceania) along with the FIFA World Cup holder and the host nation.
