6. Xavier Marshall (West Indies): 12 sixes
The West Indian opener, Xavier Marshall scored a brisk 157* in 118 balls against Canada in 2008. The knock included 12 sixes and 11 boundaries. Although, many would argue that it was against a weaker bowling line-up but runs are runs irrespective of any opponents. At that time it was a record for maximum number of sixes in a ODI innings. A Man who was considered to be the future of West Indies cricket, couldn’t stand up to the hype and expectations of international cricket. With the passing time and his inconsistent displays, he wandered into the land of darkness. He is ranked 6th in our list of Top 10 Batsmen with most sixes in an ODI innings.
