Alf Valentine comes in at number 7 in our list of fastest to 100 test wickets. One of the few spinners on this list, Alf was surprisingly selected for the series against England in 1950. He along with Ramdhin, formed a vital cog of the team which shockingly defeated the Englishmen 3-1. Inspiring the famous calypso, Those two little pals of mine, Ramdhin and Valentine, Valentine was at the peak of his powers in this landmark series, never quite achieving the same heights that he had set himself up for, continuously bowling a record number of overs. Valentine reached the landmark in 1954 against An English side in Georgetown in his 19th match, taking 3 years 261 days to do so.
