7. India’s spirited show at Perth
In the lead up to this Test match, a lot of bizarre controversies had already clouded the series. The Monkey-gate incident as well as the infamous umpiring saga in the Sydney Test had made everything gloomy and distasteful between the two sides. Coming into the match, India was down 0-2 and Australia was on a record winning spree with 16 consecutive Test wins under its belt. But then came the moment of grandeur for India at the Waca as the Anil Kumble led side rallied to one of their greatest ever Test wins. The Indians were written off but that couldn’t stop them from scripting one of their most unforgettable comebacks in a Test series.
