5. India’s celebrated win at the Eden Gardens
One of the finest Tests ever played in the folklore of Test cricket, the Kolkata Test between India and Australia was epic in every sense possible. And especially for every Indian Cricket enthusiast, the match was a reinvigorating prospect considering the tarnishing match-fixing incident which had surmounted the team in 2000. The Kangaroos were in ruthless form and had won 16 successive Tests en route to their win over five Test playing nations. But at Eden Gardens came the iconic 376-run partnership between VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid and as they say the rest is history. It will always be treasured as one of the most iconic images of Indian cricket history.
