2. Irfan Pathan:
Irfan Pathan was often compared to Kapil Dev, referred to as India’s next best all-rounder. He was as good a batsman as he was a bowler. The left arm fast paced bowler made his test debut just at the age of 19 against Australia where India won on the Australian soil after 23 long years. He has 100 wickets to his name in 29 test matches out of which his best overseas test performance was against Zimbabwe at Harare where he took a glorious 12 for 126 helping India secure an easy win by 10 wickets.
Irfan was a promising player in the initial years as he could score runs with the bat and stop runs with the ball, but a dip in form led to a downfall in the career.
