This series was one of the most exhilarating and competitive series on the Bangladeshi soil. The so called minnows were now making the life of the big boys thorny. The exciting series was tied at 2-2 with one match remaining at Dhaka. Now, the last encounter of the series was ought to be an edge of the seat thriller.
After losing the toss, the West Indies side was on the back foot when they lost three early wickets with only 17 runs on the board. But, then Kieron Pollard played a jaw dropping knock of 85 runs with the help of five fours and eight lusty blows over the ropes. Somehow, the visiting side laid down a competitive total of 217 runs on the board.
But, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah and Nasir Hossain compiled momentous knocks of 44, 48 and 39 respectively to outshine the heroics of Kemar Roach and Sunil Narine who combined for a tally of 8 wickets among them. Bangladesh won the match with two wickets in hand and registered a famous series victory over the West Indies side.
