3. Bangladesh vs India, World Cup, 17th March 2007
The Bangla tigers shocked the world when they baffled the big boys on the biggest cricketing stage possible. With this win, they ensured their surprise entry into the super eights ahead of Indian team.
The Indians team bundled out for a mere total of 192 runs after batting first. The lower half of the Indian side collapsed for 34 runs. When Bangladeshi openers came out the bat, then Tamim Iqbal smoldered the bowlers all around the park with his splendid half-century up-front. Then, the duo of Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib-al-Hasan also accumulated half-centuries. Eventually, the Bangladeshi boys won the match comfortably with 5 wickets in hand.
This loss to Bangladesh is regarded as one of the most disappointing defeats in the history of Indian cricket while the Bangladeshis celebrate it as one of their greatest laurels.
