Top 10 ugliest sledging in cricket

Now, I will take you back in the memory lanes to that ferocious incident which took place in 1981 and humiliated the gentlemen’s game in absolute disarray. Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack defined it as “one of the most undignified incidents in Test history”. Miandad was taking a single when Lilee turned around and got in the batsmen’s way. He claimed that Miandad struck him on his back with the bat. Lillee kicked Miandad flush on his thigh in full view of the umpire at the non-striker’s end. Miandad lifted his bat to strike Lillee, and was stopped mid-way by the desperate umpire otherwise things could have turned fatal. The incident was the hot toast in the media with voices from all the corners demanding strict action on the culprit- Denis Lilee. Ultimately, he was banned for two matches as the Pakistani team threatened to leave the tour.
